Pulaski County VINELink Coverage
Missouri's state answer to custody notifications is MOVANS. The state points users straight to VINELink. The Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney links MOVANS from its own case-information page too. So the service clearly matters to county residents. What no public roster spells out, though, is a Pulaski County jail agency code. No public source promises that every county booking flows into MOVANS either.
Treat a match as a custody record only. A participating agency may report where someone is held. It may also report a release, a transfer, or a court event. Timing varies by agency. The Pulaski County Sheriff's public inmate route is also in a check-back state. Neither source guarantees instant coverage after a new arrest.
Search Pulaski Inmates on VINELink
Start at the official Missouri VINELink search. The page is dynamic and may ask for a state or agency choice. Search one named person rather than browsing lists. Exact details help separate people with similar names.
- Select Missouri or the relevant Missouri agency context in VINELink.
- Enter the offender ID when known, or use first and last name. Add date of birth or an age range only when the form offers it.
- Review all close matches. Compare the reporting agency, date of birth, status, and location instead of relying on the name alone.
- Open the matching record to review the available custody detail and notification choices.
- If there is no match, call the Pulaski County Sheriff or the known holding agency. Do not infer release or no arrest.
Not sure which custody system holds the record? The countywide Pulaski County recent arrests hub sorts out how sheriff, city police, court, DOC, and federal records differ. VINELink works best once that question is answered. The Missouri VINELink search page displays the plain lookup screen before any personal data is entered:

Use the form to find one record, then verify the agency and custody status shown.
Pulaski VINELink Result Fields
The older Missouri guide lists possible result fields. The live interface can differ by reporting agency. Values can differ too. A booking photo appears only when an agency supplies one. Do not download or republish it.
| Possible result field | What it can establish | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name and offender ID | Helps identify the record | Still compare other identifiers |
| Date of birth or age | Separates similar names | May be restricted or absent |
| Custody status | Reported state in the VINE system | May lag the agency record |
| Location or reason | Reported facility or status context | Not proof of where an arrest occurred |
| Reporting agency | Identifies the agency feeding the event | Participation varies |
| Photo, if available | Agency-supplied identity aid | Not assured and not a guilt finding |
| Notification options | Shows available event registration | Current Missouri methods are SMS or email |
A VINE status is not a court outcome. A booking charge can change or get dismissed later. Missouri Case.net and the Circuit Clerk hold the filed case and its result where public access is allowed.
Register Pulaski Custody Alerts
After picking the correct record, register through the current Missouri process only. The state's 2026 MOVANS notice moved local jail, detention, and court notifications to SMS or email. Phone calls and VINELink app notifications no longer deliver alerts after that transition.
- Open the correct record and choose the registration or notification option offered for that event.
- Select SMS or email, then enter the destination carefully.
- Complete any confirmation step that the current interface sends.
- Save the record details and registration confirmation without posting them publicly.
- Update the registration if contact information changes, and contact MOVANS support when the current method fails.
Older materials describe events like release, bail, transfer, escape, recapture, work furlough, and death. What actually fires an alert depends on the agency and the record. Don't assume every event type exists for Pulaski County. The VINELink landing page shows where alert registration begins:

Follow the live prompts, since Missouri's current alert methods supersede older phone and app instructions.
Missouri MOVANS Changed in 2026
One alert issue matters most here. The old public guide and the current state notice disagree. The older guide describes phone registration with a four-digit PIN. It notes that email registration skips the PIN. It also talks up phone and app alerts. All of that went stale for delivery after Missouri's May 2026 transition.
The current MOVANS notice tells users to update or register for SMS or email. Local detention and court-event questions go to movans@dps.mo.gov or 573-526-1929. Staff answer weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Missouri DOC custody questions use victims@doc.mo.gov or 573-526-6516.
The state also flags MobilePatrol and Missouri Sheriff Connect. Neither app has any MOVANS affiliation. An app with an official-sounding name is not a substitute for the state's registration route.
Pulaski Custody Events Explained
An alert means the reporting system logged a change. It says nothing about the full legal story. Release might mean release on bond or another authorized exit from custody. A transfer means the person moved to another facility or authority, while a court event is just a docket change, not always a custody change.
- Booking
- Administrative intake after an arrest, including identity and custody processing.
- Transfer
- Movement from one holding authority or facility to another.
- Disposition
- The court’s outcome, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or sentence.
- Detainer
- A request or hold from another authority that may affect release or transfer.
For safety planning, treat an alert as a prompt to check current official information. Delays happen, and no alert service can guarantee personal safety. If a threat feels immediate, contact law enforcement.
Pulaski Custody System Differences
Match the locator to the custody state. The sheriff comes first for a fresh local booking or current county detention. Missouri DOC handles active state incarceration, probation, or parole. That applies once a state case enters the system. VINELink and MOVANS supply notifications where an agency and event participate.
| Situation | Primary channel |
|---|---|
| Fresh Pulaski County arrest or intake | Pulaski County Sheriff or arresting police agency |
| Participating local custody or court alert | Missouri MOVANS through VINELink |
| Sentenced state custody or supervision | Missouri DOC Offender Search |
| Federal prison custody | Federal Bureau of Prisons locator |
| Immigration detention | ICE Online Detainee Locator |
| Federal crime-victim notice | DOJ Victim Notification System |
MOVANS is not BOP, ICE, or the U.S. Marshals Service. Federal tools carry their own identifiers and rules. Someone tied to Pulaski County or Fort Leonard Wood may still be held outside the county system.
Verify a Pulaski VINE Alert
An alert is only a signal, so slow down before you act. Read which agency sent it, the custody status, and the event type. Was the person arrested in Pulaski County? If so, the sheriff's office can confirm. Find it at 403 School Street, Waynesville, MO 65583, or call 573-774-6196. A brand-new arrest may not appear online yet. The Daily Arrest Report covers that gap with a same-day fallback sequence.
State custody works differently. Once a person transfers, the Missouri DOC offender search and DOC victim-services line take over. For a filed Pulaski County case, Case.net is the online option. The Circuit Clerk also holds the court record. One more caution applies. Release by one agency does not clear a detainer, a supervision term, or an open case.
Guard your registration details. Never post alert destinations, identifying data, or safety-sensitive information in a public place. If the system throws an error, take it to the proper MOVANS or DOC support channel instead of asking a third party to fix a custody record.
Pulaski VINELink Search Limits
VINELink only knows what agencies report. No public agency code list shows Pulaski County participation. A no-match can mean several things. Booking may still be in progress, or the event may not have been sent yet. The person could be held in another county, or the identifying details may differ. The record may simply fall outside what the system covers.
Work the search carefully. Use exact spelling, plus an offender ID when you have one. Check the state and reporting agency on every result, then call the holding office directly. A result sometimes displays a booking photo. A missing one does not prove no mugshot exists.
Note: VINELink is an alert and custody tool. It is not a complete Pulaski County arrest archive or a final court record.
